The game takes place in the late eighties in the Caribbean island of San Brothers , whose tyrannical president known as " Prince " - has mobilized a formidable army against a rebel group that aims to overthrow him and start a revolution.
At the beginning of Jagged Alliance Flashback , insurgents just dissolved after the arrest and detention of their leader. The characters come to San Brothers in order to free him, but soon after his arrival the situation is further complicated . Luckily , the legendary mercenary association AIM , created during the rebellion of three charismatic individuals , will come to his aid.
