As of 2014 , a total of four deliveries , all based on the concept of a shooter on rails . All deliveries share the concept of two agents teaming to defeat a horde of undead GM . The games are divided into chapters, each ending with a boss , being a large, usually more frightening aspect creature. Their names come from the Major Arcana cards of tarot. All deliveries are handled with a gun in the arcade , they can play with , command, mouse or wiimote as domestic delivery.
The gameplay varies slightly between deliveries , with different characters, weapons , enemies, etc. In several of them , there are several routes you can choose the player , either through a menu or by their actions. Also usually include various unlockable , and all have multiple endings, depending on player skill .
Apart from these four deliveries , also have been several spin- offs, including a pinball game for the Game Boy Advance, Pinball of the Dead ; a learning game for Nintendo DS English , Inglés of the Dead ; and learn to type game released for PC and Dreamcast, Typing of the Dead .
They have gone two films based on the franchise, and a series of articulated figures from Palisade Toys.
